Dr. Nikolay Markov Nikolov

Manager

Markoni’s Language Centre is one of my dreams come true and, I believe, one of my life missions. I have the honour to be working with an incredibly devoted team of true professionals and, I’d dare say, with the most wonderful students in our country.

Every day since 2005 my colleagues, our learners and I have been writing together the new pages of our favourite school Markoni’s history. And together we have managed to develop the school into a prestigious educational institution in our region.

The hundreds of internationally-recognized certificates from the lowest to the highest level (C2), according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, awarded to our learners by the examination boards of Cambridge English and Pearson, the tens of students accepted at prestigious universities in Bulgaria and abroad, the hundreds of learners from our adult courses, who have achieved better career development thanks to the preparation at our school, our national and international school accreditation, our two ELTons (2012 and 2015) nominations for the UK British Council awards for innovation in teaching English as a foreign language, commonly referred to as the “Oscars” in TEFL by the British press, as well as our unmatchable school facilities in Bulgaria, are among the achievements and features which make Markoni’s a unique and desired place. At Markoni’s learners effectively acquire the foreign language of their choice, along with developing their creativity, personally progressing and enjoying themselves with the other fellow learners.

My academic qualifications, my professional managerial, teaching and research experience, my expertise of an accredited assessor and examiner for two international examination boards, as well as my participation as a presenter in a multitude of international FLT conferences in Bulgaria and abroad, make me even more confident that I could be useful to our learners not only in the classroom, but also in the process of applying for university education programmes at higher schools in Bulgaria and abroad.

I am grateful for the privilege to be doing a job I love so much.
